Kathmandu. A shocking incident has come to light in Bhadradri Kothagudem in Telangana, India. The Burgampad police have arrested two youths for allegedly plotting to kill their friend to get insurance money. <\/p>\n
The youth is alleged to have hatched a criminal conspiracy to grab the insurance amount of around Rs 2 crore. One of the accused is an employee of a private bank. <\/p>\n
According to the police, Katta Yashwant was found injured on the roadside near Mothe village in Burgampad mandal on the night of February 14. Initially, it was considered a road accident. Yashwant was first admitted to the government hospital in Bhadrachalam. Later, when his condition deteriorated, he was referred to a hospital in Khammam. Where he is being treated. <\/p>\n
The case took a new turn after Yashwanth’s aunt Mulisettu Rama filed a police complaint. She said it was not just an accident but a planned attack. Based on the complaint, the police registered a case and started investigation. <\/p>\n
During the investigation, Katta Sai Deepak, a resident of Gannavaram, and his friend Konda Bhanu Prakash of Bhadrachalam were suspected. They were arrested on Tuesday evening when they were travelling in a car in Sarapaka. According to the police, Bhanu Prakash works as a sales executive in a private bank. <\/p>\n
The police investigation revealed that in November 2025, the accused had taken out an insurance policy in the name of Yashwant. In which Sai Deepak was kept as the heir person. He claimed to be a relative of Yashwant. The police alleged that on the night of February 14, the two accused took Yashwant to a big village, gave him liquor and attacked him from behind with an iron rod when he tried to get on the scooter. <\/p>\n
To make the incident look like an accident, the accused dropped their two-wheeler off the road and fled, leaving Yashwant in an injured state. <\/p>\n
According to Sub-Inspector Meda Prasad, during interrogation, the accused confessed to the crime and said that they wanted to get the insurance money after Yashwant’s death. Both the accused have been remanded in judicial custody.
