Kathmandu. Indian multinational company Tata Group has started the helicopter assembly factory of French aircraft manufacturer Airbus in India. <\/p>\n
The factory has been set up at Vemagal in Karnataka. It was inaugurated on Tuesday. <\/p>\n
This partnership will support the construction, integration, testing and lifecycle of advanced rotary-wing platforms within the country in India’s airspace. The facility will bring parts of the Civil H125 helicopter and install it. It could later produce a military version, the H125M. The industry ensures local airlines operators have access to advanced technology with in-house maintenance facilities. <\/p>\n
Known for its high-altitude performance, the H125 is the only helicopter to land on Mount Everest. It is the world’s best-selling single-engine helicopter. With more than 40 million flight hours worldwide, and widely used in India and throughout South Asia. <\/p>\n
The first H125 is expected to be delivered in India in early 2027. And will also be available for export within the South Asian region. <\/p>\n
