Kathmandu. Commercial banks have announced the interest rate effective from February 1. According to the notice published by the banks, nine out of 20 commercial banks have reduced the maximum interest rate on fixed deposits for the month of March. <\/p>\n
Siddhartha Bank, Everest Bank, Nepal SBI and Agricultural Development Bank have reduced interest rates. For the month of March, these banks have reduced the interest rate on fixed deposits to 4.25 percent. Earlier, Siddhartha had given 4.55 percent interest in January, while the remaining four had given 4.4 percent interest. <\/p>\n
Similarly, Standard Chartered, Nepal Investment Mega Bank, Sanima Bank and Global IME Bank have reduced their interest rates. Standard Chartered has fixed the maximum interest rate on fixed deposits at 4.25 per cent, Nepal Investment Mega and Sanima at 4.5 per cent and Global IME Bank at 4.75 per cent. Standard Chartered Bank has fixed fixed deposit 4.36 percent, Nepal Investment Mega Bank 5 percent, Sanima Bank 4.55 percent and Global IME Bank 5.5 percent. <\/p>\n
They are Kumari Bank, Seasons Bank, Laxmi Sunrise Bank, Machhapuchchhre Bank, Nabil Bank, Prabhu Bank, NIC Asia Bank, Rastriya Banijya Bank, Himalayan Bank and Nepal Bank. Nepal Bank has fixed the maximum interest rate on individual fixed deposits at 5.1 per cent, Kumari Bank at 4.43 per cent, Citizen Bank and Laxmi Sunrise at 4.5 per cent and remaining banks at 5 per cent.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
