Kathmandu. Lumbini Bikas Bank has continued its support to Sahara Football Academy in Pokhara-17, Dobilla, Kaski under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program. Rs 2,50,000 has been handed over. <\/p>\n
A member of the bank’s Board of Directors Ram Chandra Sigdel handed over the cheque to Sahara Club Pokhara Chairman Keshab Bahadur Thapa. Deputy CEO of the bank Mr. Suman Acharya, managers of Pokhara branch, Mr. Bikram Thakali, Senior Vice President Mr. Purna Bahadur Gurung and other stakeholders were present in the program. <\/p>\n
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Suman Acharya, Deputy CEO of the Bank said, “We are happy to continue supporting the dependent children of Sahara Academy. <\/p>\n
He also praised the office bearers of the club and other organizations for the generous and commendable work done by Sahara Club. <\/p>\n
Sahara Club President Thapa expressed gratitude to Lumbini Bikas Bank for the financial support and said that the assistance amount will be spent for lunch and food of the dependent children of the academy. <\/p>\n
The academy currently has 30 children from 15 districts. Sahara Club Pokhara has been providing football training to them along with their upbringing, education. The club has been running the academy since 2061 BS. <\/p>\n
