A study committee formed by the government has decided to restructure NEPSE with Rs. It has suggested that issuing bonus shares is a good option to raise the capital of Rs 3 billion. This has been mentioned in the report prepared by the committee and submitted to the government. <\/p>\n<p>It is necessary to increase the paid-up capital of NEPSE in a timely manner as it is necessary to invest significantly to increase the competitive capacity of NEPSE and to expand modern services as expected by the investors. For this, the options for issuing bonus shares, right shares and additional new shares will be issued for the time being and as prescribed in the Securities Exchange Operation Rules, 2064 rupees. According to the study committee, a capital of Rs 3 billion can be reached. <\/p>\n<p>A five-member study committee led by former chairman of the Nepal Accounting Board Prakash Jung Thapa submitted its report to Finance Minister Rameshwor Khanal on January 12. The members of the committee are Sharad Niraula, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, Murahari Parajuli, Director of Nepal Rastra Bank, Subhash Chandra Ghimire, Deputy Executive Director of Securities Board of Nepal Rupesh KC and former Executive Director of Securities Board of Nepal Niraj Giri. <\/p>\n<p>Presently, the paid-up capital of NEPSE stands at Rs 1 billion. Currently, the government is the largest shareholder of NEPSE. The government has 5,866,245 units (558.66 percent) in NEPSE. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, Rastriya Banijya Bank is the second largest shareholder. The bank has 1,122,974 units (111.23 percent) shares in NEPSE. Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has 1 million units (110 percent) shares. <\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Nepal Rastra Bank has 950,637 units and Prabhu Bank has 95.50 percent shareholding, Laxmi Sunrise Bank has 95 percent and other groups have 90.60 percent shareholding. <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
