A meeting of the Council of Ministers held today under the leadership of former Chief Justice Sushila Karki took various 9 decisions. <\/p>\n<p>A meeting of the Council of Ministers led by Prime Minister Karki also decided to declare those who lost their lives during the Genji movement as martyrs, to observe a national day of mourning on September 1 and to declare a public holiday. The government has also decided to provide Rs 10 lakh compensation to the families of the deceased and Rs 5 lakh as other expenses. <\/p>\n<p>Similarly, the meeting also decided to provide free treatment to the injured, free vehicles to take the dead bodies and to manage helicopters in remote areas and assist in cremation. <\/p>\n<p>The meeting also decided to form a high-level judicial probe commission to investigate into the losses and excesses suffered during the agitation and take action on the basis of its report, to construct a Jenji Jagran Memorial Park in memory of the martyrs and to return the proposals presented in the previous cabinet to the ministries concerned.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
