The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday paved the way for the Trump administration to resume deportations of immigrants, including in conflict zones such as South Sudan. A conservative majority of the court&#8217;s judge paved the way for migrants to be transferred to a third country. <\/p>\n<p>According to The Guardian, a brief but unsigned court order suspended a federal court judge&#8217;s decision in Boston, claiming that sending migrants to certain countries that agree to take them away faces the risk of torture, harassment, or death, so they should have a &#8220;meaningful opportunity&#8221; in the U.S. <\/p>\n<p>As a result of Monday&#8217;s ruling, the U.S. administration will now be allowed to quickly deport immigrants to &#8220;third countries,&#8221; including a group of men held at a U.S. military base in Djibouti that the administration is trying to send to South Sudan. <\/p>\n<p>The Department of Homeland Security welcomed the decision as a &#8220;victory for the safety and security of the American people.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The department can now enforce its statutory authority and send illegal immigrants to countries willing to accept,&#8221; spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin said in a statement. &#8220;<\/p>\n<p>In response to Monday&#8217;s ruling, White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson said: &#8220;The Supreme Court&#8217;s stay on the left-wing district judge&#8217;s injunction reaffirms the president&#8217;s authority to remove criminal illegal immigrants from our country and make America safer again.&#8221; &#8220;<\/p>\n<p><h4><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Strong disagreement of the judge:<\/span><\/h4>\n<\/p>\n<p>The court has not made public any explanation for its decision, and ordered the judge&#8217;s decision to be stayed while the appeal process is underway. Three liberal judges strongly disagreed with the court&#8217;s order. <\/p>\n<p>In a dissenting opinion, Judge Sonia Sotomayer accused the court of &#8220;rewarding anarchy by allowing the government to violate the due process rights of immigrants facing deportation.&#8221; <\/p>\n<p>U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy in Boston has faced intense criticism about the decision from Trump and his aides.
