The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has filed a corruption case against former Prime Minister and CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal. <\/p>\n<p>The Anti-Corruption Commission (CIAA) on Thursday filed a corruption case against Chairman Nepal at the Special Court in connection with the sale and purchase of land in the name of Patanjali YogPeeth and Ayurvedic Company in Kavre. Nepal&#8217;s parliament has been automatically suspended after a case was filed in the court. <\/p>\n<p>The CIAA has demanded Rs 185.85 million from Chairman Nepal. In the same case, the CIAA has filed a case against 93 people, including chairman Nepal, former law minister Prem Bahadur Singh, then land reforms secretary Chhabi Raj Panta. <\/p>\n<p>When Nepal was the Prime Minister in 2066 BS, the Cabinet had approved the purchase of the land. Later, a complaint was lodged with the CIAA alleging that the land was sold in violation of the law beyond the limit.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
