The General Insurance Council, an umbrella body of non-life and reinsurance companies, has made an important announcement to make the campaign of insurance for all a success in India by 2047. <\/p>\n<p>A meeting of the Council on Tuesday decided to spend at least 4 billion Indian rupees (Rs 6.4 billion) in the insurance awareness campaign in the next three years to expand the reach of insurance in the country. <\/p>\n<p>According to the Asian Insurance Post, the 44-member council, including GIC Re and foreign reinsurance branches, launched the campaign at a cost of Rs 1.5 billion with the motto of &#8216;Achche Ga Accha Kiya Bima Liya&#8217;. <\/p>\n<p>Targeting over 800 million Indians, including those living in deep rural areas, the campaign was launched during the last Indian Premier League season&#8217;s cricket match. <\/p>\n<p>The Life Insurance Council is also planning a nationwide advertising campaign to spread awareness about life insurance plans.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
