New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has issued an order to the central and local governments to facilitate health insurance claims. <\/p>\n<p>New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed the governments at both levels to put in place a mechanism to make health insurance claim payment easier and easier to make it hassle-free for the insured. A single bench of Justice Nina Bansal passed the order on a writ petition filed by the insurance companies alleging that the hospitals were reluctant to discharge the patients on time due to non-payment of claims on time. <\/p>\n<p>The high court order said the Central and Delhi governments should coordinate with insurance regulators to resolve the issues related to payment of health insurance claims. <\/p>\n<p>The court has also drawn attention to the pressure that patients and their families have to bear from the hospital in bill payment. &#8220;Hospitals should work with the concerned insurance companies to make claim payments quickly and quickly,&#8221; the court said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Kathmandu.
